My MBA admissions journey started with quite an unpleasant experience with another consultant. With one bitter experience already behind me, this time around I ensured that I spoke to as many consultants as possible before deciding to onboard with another one. I spoke to at least 7-8 admissions consultants over a week and then decided to go ahead with Arvind. What made Arvind stand apart was how approachable and easy to talk to he was. “Saurav, I’m not confident of the chances at School X. We can take a look at School Y. However, if you find someone who has confidence in School X, please go ahead. And see if School Y would have a similar effort. If so, with some guidance from the alums and research YOU would be able to complete the application, without needing my or anybody’s help”
Such a statement is music to the ears of a client. But, in this case, I wasn’t a client. I was treated as a mentee. And, this is Arvind’s forte. This raw honesty while being humble and gentle about my shortcomings, but in no way demanding me to dream less, was what significantly contributed to my decision of going with Arvind. And, this decision came after speaking to Arvind on and off for almost 4 months while I was still working on my GMAT. I spend alot of time researching before I pick any service. Same was the case when I was looking for a consultant for my MBA applications. I spent a month just speaking to various consultants, reading reviews and trying to gauge their method of working. Arvind has some amazing web presence with alot of terrific reviews, and speaking to him gave me the confidence that he’d be the right person to help me through this journey. I am dropping this note to you to thank you for all your help during my admission process for RSM. From the beginning, you were extremely structured to guide me through the process. You were not only patient with the iterations but also considerate to understand if there were any delays from my end. Throughout the process, you had a lot of confidence in me and my application, which in turn gave me the confidence to get past the various stages of the admissions process. Most consultants are not so involved in the process (my past experience with another consultant was not that great) and more often than not they demotivate students by saying that they are not good enough in one aspect or the other. After facing rejections from 6 European B-school applications for fall 2022, I was certain I would have to retake the GMAT and re-apply to business schools a year later. At this stage, I had an average GMAT score compared to my peer group and had lost all hope of getting into a reputable B-school. I approached Arvind to take his guidance and understand where I needed to strengthen my application when re-applying. Right from the first conversation, Arvind was quick to understand my situation and helped me develop a game plan. Instead of deferring applications to the following year, he suggested applying to a select few schools that judged candidates based on their overall contributions rather than just an exam score. He exuberates confidence and is excellent at identifying an applicant’s key strengths that can be highlighted during the application. Arvind’s biggest strength is his knowledge. He knows exactly what each business school is looking for and so tailors your profile toward their requirements. One of the schools he suggested was IE Business School in Madrid – a school that was already on my list, but I honestly thought was out of reach. Arvind seemed confident, and I decided to give it a go. Arvind provides excellent guidance on every stage of the application – he is extremely organized, thorough, and meticulous. He goes through several revisions to make edits and has a special way with words – each essay was worded and structured perfectly. After my very first call with Arvind at Dream School Admit, I was convinced that I wanted to work with him to guide me with my school applications. During our first call he was really enthusiastic about getting to know me and gave me the confidence that by putting in the time and effort I can get into a school of my choice with my profile. One of the things I admire about him is that he is very invested in the applicant and he took great interest in knowing you and your story.
